Corrections Policy
Accurate program information matters because a seemingly small mistake can change a buyer’s search or next step. We welcome specific, sourced corrections.
Report a possible error
Email [email protected] with:
- the URL and exact statement or tool result;
- why it appears wrong or misleading;
- the relevant effective date and program, if known;
- a current primary source, preferably USDA Rural Development.
Do not send private loan documents or sensitive financial information.
How we respond
- Reproduce or locate the issue.
- Check the controlling primary source and scope.
- Correct a confirmed material error promptly and update affected derivative content when practical.
- Add clarification where the original wording was technically correct but reasonably misleading.
Correction notes
For a material factual correction, we aim to add a dated note explaining what changed. Routine copy edits, formatting repairs, broken-link replacements, and non-substantive clarifications may be made without a correction note. Updating a time-sensitive figure to a newly effective official value is normally labeled as an update rather than an error.
If you are in an active transaction, do not wait for an editorial response. Confirm the issue directly with USDA Rural Development and your approved lender.
