About USDA.properties

USDA.properties is an independent educational resource built to help home buyers understand USDA Rural Development location rules, income limits, property considerations, and the questions to take to an approved lender.

We are not a government agency. USDA.properties is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture or USDA Rural Development. Our tools and guides are informational and cannot provide an official property-eligibility determination or loan approval.

What we are building

USDA financing can be unusually useful and unusually easy to misunderstand. A promising home may fall outside an eligible boundary; household income and qualifying income are not always the same calculation; and a property or borrower must still satisfy program and lender requirements.

Our goal is to turn those moving parts into a practical sequence: check the location, understand the income test, evaluate the property, and prepare the borrower file. The free address checker, educational guides, and USDA Home Buyer Playbook are designed around that sequence.

Where a decision requires professional judgment or an official determination, the site directs readers to USDA Rural Development, an approved lender, or an appropriately qualified professional.
